Part of the Reflections collection, Plume 2, Red began as a loose, freehand drawing. The irregularity and character of that original line are preserved as it transforms into a thin dimensional form: hand-painted paper laminated to birchwood, with a painted edge that emphasizes its thin profile.
The form is displayed on a wood-and-steel stand, connected by a visible magnet where it meets the steel wire. The magnetic pull and the small click as it locks into place are part of the piece itself. Because of that connection, the form can turn, shift, or hold still, so the piece continues to change with the light, the shadow, and the angle you view it from.
